Then head over to Environmental Graffiti to check out Britain’s Secret Underground City. It was set up during the 1950s with the red scare, cold war looming and general nuclear bomb paranoia.

- Pantone announced that Mimosa is the color of the year for 2009.

- Art News Blog posted Online Tips for Artists including my favorite: Answer email that you receive about your art promptly. (I need to be more on top of that myself actually.)

- 50 Strange Buildings from Around the World. (A gorgeous collection.)
- Vatos Locos Forever ask: Who wants to be turned into an original VLF illustration? Tell us a little about yourself, why you would make a good choice to be cholo’d down and tatted up.
- ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive recently made a post showing off some of the boxes of goodies that have been sent out in celebration (and advertising) of the newest Neil Gaiman book to be made in a movie, Coraline. Check out the Coraline Mystery Boxes! (I am so excited for this movie, you have no idea.)
- In other Neil Gaiman news Jouni Koponen illustrated Neil’s poem: “The Day the Saucers Came” recently. You can preorder one of the limited edition prints at Neil Gaiman’s Neverwear Store. You can also see a larger version of the print here.
- Format magazine recently posted 20 Classic Hip Hop Album Covers Recreated in LEGO.
- The LEGO album covers reminded me of Sleevface a blog (and book!) dedicated to “one or more persons obscuring or augmenting any part of their body or bodies with record sleeve(s) causing an illusion.”
