CARMINE MAGAZINE is an online magazine run by artists, for artists.

  • Carmine Magazine first opened it’s doors in May 2008, since then we have had roughly 145,503 hits.
  • The site gets an average of 2252 hits a day, and that number grows as the content does.
  • Most of our readers are RSS feed subscribers which has led to ads being put at the bottom of each post.
  • 80% of our readership is living in America.
  • Most of our readers are artists or fans of art.

I only put up ads for companies, products and people I believe in. You will never see an ad on this site for something that I do not believe will be useful or relevant to my readers. Note this: I do not do “pay for post” projects, not for products or cash. I would be glad to do a personal appraisal of products for you, but sending them to me does not guarantee that I will mention them on CarmineMag. I will mention products that I think are amazing, and products (especially art supplies) that I think my readers should try to stay away from. Please understand that I will not sacrifice my intergrity in exchange for free stuff.

Quote

The OctopusME line is different because I have a much deeper connection with it. I think it is me accepting myself and not giving a shit about what others say or consider being creepy, sexual, gross, weird and even a bit dangerous. The octopus is cunning, sexy, mysterious and playful. It has the power to transform itself and regenerate itself just like I believe people do. It’s a celebration of life and nature. I believe it is an inspiration. — Kayo Designs (OctopusME), Carmine Magazine Interview
