Carmine Magazine: What drives you to create? Also, what inspires you and your work?
Illustration and Animated Movies: World news, life and all around me gives me inspiration.
CM: Were you formally trained in art or self taught? Do you think it has helped you or hindered you?
IAM: I begun to make small comics for my school, I had the opporunity after to
make the national art school of lyon in france and then take the liberty in to make animated movies in when people didn’t like it and prefer conceptual art. Don’t believe I don’t like conceptual art I sometimes like it but well each person each form of art no?

CM: What mediums do you work in the most? Do you have a particular brand that you love working with? Why do you use them?
IAM: I use typically drawing by hand mediums and also computer to put my images
in animated movies when I want to.
CM: At what point did you realize that creating was going to be a large part of your life?
IAM: When I have a bad day, I speak to my girlfriend lol and also take my criterium
to make some character researches :) a day without a pen on my fingers is a bad day too lol.

CM: If there was one style of art that you could take up, what would it be?
IAM: Theatre but I’m too bad in acting lol I tried in the past but I was so bad.
CM: How do you deal with creator’s (or writer’s) block?
IAM: I write my own stories but actually I learn to write in team because of a project of serial for tvs and it’s so diferent from my way of writing.

CM: How do you prepare for art shows where your work will be shown?
IAM: Hummm I don’t know yet because I never had this opportunity, except two expositions with K. Lolley in Los Angeles and Louisville but I never sold. :)
CM: How do you define you style? Does it represent an inner you or
something completely different?
IAM: I read so many comics and illustrations as child as student in art that I make as a child I take, I take and after some time all comes in the paper sheet.

CM: What kind of environment do you need to create in?
IAM: Home sweet home. :)
CM: What does your workspace look like? (Pictures or a description work for this one)
IAM: Small apartment with the net obliged to show my work day after day.

CM: What was your worst experience with art? And the best?
IAM: The worst I don’t know. The best a great person of animated serials in france
who taught me what is all present in the Richard Williams animation book, but I never tried. He was great. Respect.
CM: What movies, books, music, etc get your creative juices flowing the most?
IAM: All Kubrick, Durer, Arthaud, Michaud, some rap music and so on.

CM: Do you think the internet, technology, media, etcetera are helping or destroying the art world?
IAM: You can be stolen as me in a case in the past about your movies but it’s greater than worse in most cases. I am actually meeting people in my town and outside too
and well hope to be better than I can.
CM: Aside from art what do you do with your time? Is there anything else that drives you or that you’re passionate about?
IAM: Reading and looking at old paintings.

CM: Do you have any upcoming shows, events, releases, etc. you would like our readers to know about?
IAM: Not at all exept a personnal gallery in Admicile (simulation) in second life
where I have my own gallery. Simply search for a 3 stairs cartoon make building in and perhaps we’ll meet in this great virtual world.

This artwork reminds me a bit of Rocko’s Modern Life. Anyone remember that show?
Ahaha, I used to watch that show all the time! Anyway, this stuff is well-done, but not my kind of art :\
